Any monster (except summoned/conjured monsters and the bosses, all below) can be created as a named, or "unique" monster. These will be much tougher: Their hit dice, magic dice, and overall level are doubled, and on top of that, they get 20 extra HP and (if a magic-user) 40 extra Mana.
