Abstract. Objective The objective of this paper was to identify safety parameters in the posterior surgical approach of the scapula through a cross-sectional cadaver study.. Methods Thirteen cadaver shoulders with no history of surgery or prior musculoskeletal dysfunction, with mean age, weight, and height of 70.1 years, 61.5 kg, and 1.64 m, respectively, were dissected.
The Screens allow you to explore the highly detailed 3D model that's placed beside similarly dissected views of a human cadaver. Discover the Skeletal and Muscular Systems in amazing 3D detail and identify the structures in a human cadaver.
The prevalence and patterns of anomalous innervation of the subscapularis muscle were studied to determine if these variations increased the risk of muscle denervation during open shoulder surgery. Twenty human cadaveric shoulders were dissected, and the innervation to the subscapularis was defined.
This section describes dissection of the superficial back muscles and the posterior axilla. The deeper layers of the back muscles and the posterior neck are presented in Chapter 13.
1 sie 2021 · The gastrocnemius, plantaris and the soleus muscles, comprise the posterior (flexor) compartment muscles of the leg. The plantaris muscle is responsible for causing plantar flexion of...
The shoulder region refers to the (posterior) muscles that pass between the scapula and proximal humerus plus muscles passing from the trunk to the scapula or humerus (superficial muscles of the back). The deltoid fascia is continuous with the pectoral, brachial and infraspinatus fasciae.
The purpose of this study was to present the muscle architecture (musculotendon length, musculotendon mass, tendon length, tendon mass, pennation angle, and optimal fascicle length) for the major muscles of the upper and lower body on a single cadaver.
