The posterior interventricular sulcus or posterior longitudinal sulcus is one of the two grooves separating the ventricles of the heart (the other being the anterior interventricular sulcus). They can be known as subsinosal interventricular groove or paraconal interventricular groove respectively.
18 sty 2024 · Its main function is to supply the diaphragmatic (inferior) surface of the myocardium and interventricular sulcus of the heart. The inferior interventricular artery can arise from either the left or right coronary artery.
20 kwi 2023 · Posterior interventricular sulcus – located on the posterior surface of the heart and represents the separation of the left and right ventricle. It contains the posterior interventricular artery and the middle cardiac vein.
20 paź 2024 · Located between the left and right ventricles are two shallower sulci: the anterior interventricular sulcus is visible on the anterior surface of the heart (Figure \(\PageIndex{8.A}\)), whereas the posterior interventricular sulcus is visible on the posterior surface of the heart (Figure \(\PageIndex{8.B}\)).
The anterior interventricular sulcus is visible on the anterior surface of the heart, whereas the posterior interventricular sulcus is visible on the posterior surface of the heart. Figure 19.6 illustrates anterior and posterior views of the surface of the heart.
17 sty 2024 · The posterior descending artery arises near the crux cordis, where the atrioventricular groove meets the posterior interventricular sulcus. It travels along the sulcus, lengthwise along the cone, along the bottom of the heart.
17 lis 2003 · Good quality images of the right posterior descending coronary artery – usually distal part of the RCA – can be obtained in this way. Alternatively, a modified 2-chamber view (crossing the heart along the posterior interventricular groove) can be used (Fig. 37,38,39, movie 8 [see Additional file 8]).
