The port provides the South Island terminal for Cook Strait passenger and freight ferries at Picton, it operates New Zealand’s deepest export shipping berth at Waimahara Wharf in Shakespeare Bay, and a multipurpose berth at Waitohi Wharf in Picton Harbour.
