26 maj 2011 · I'm trying to start MySQL from XAMPP (under Windows Vista), but it's saying that's port 3306 is busy. What would be the best way with check what application is using that port and how to free it?
This command will safely shut down your existing MySQL running on port 3306 so that you can access the same port using the MySQL on xampp. This is used to work on both without conflicts or without having to uninstall the other application or without changing the port to 3307 in the my.ini file.
When I try to install MySQL 5.6 and it tells me that the specified port 3306 is already in use. I already uninstalled my previous MySQL which is version 5.1 already and I do not have any idea to check which program is using the port. Can somebody please post a step by step guide?
Port 3306 is open, even if I stop the windows-firewall, MySQL still can't access it. MySQL is running. I've run netstat firewall xxxxxx and get these results: 3306 TCP Enable MySQL Server. and this from netstat -a -n: TCP [::]:3306 [::]:0 LISTENING 0. (I don't understand the [::])
Our database is hosted remotely and is only reachable on port 3306 (mysql.XXXXX.be:3306). We cannot change the DB configuration. We tried with no success: Using ngrok on the computer opening the connection and opening a TCP tunnel to 3306, but this only opens the port locally.
1 mar 2021 · Settings. I need port 3306 for MySQL but when it won't start so I ran the command "netstat -aon" on command line and it I couldn't find port 3306. Its as if it doesn't exist. I had MySQL on my system a year ago.
The default MySQL port is 3306. The port variable stores the port that the MySQL server is currently using. The port option under the [mysqld] section of the MySQL configuration file specifies the port to which the MySQL server is currently listening.
