I want to get better at making avatars, cosplay or not- I like the complicated gradient designs I always see that make the pony feel that much more colorful, but I struggle with how exactly to do that. Here’s my best attempt- has anyone got criticisms/advice?

It will make your character look chunky and odd, so it's best to go with 1 or 3 (or around there) on your pony so that they don't look like you just gave them laundry to do. For right now, I will add a floppy bow on mine and do the same coloring method I did with the mane, tail, and body.
