5 paź 2024 · This review study provides a thorough overview of the state-of-the-art use of polymer coatings to stop metal corrosion. It then delves into polymer coatings’ essential properties and advantages, highlighting their role in corrosion inhibition.
1 mar 2024 · This study presents the active protective properties of lithium-leaching coatings for a range of aluminum alloys. Coatings with and without lithium carbonate as leachable inhibitor were applied on the aluminum alloys, artificially damaged and exposed to the neutral salt spray.
1 lis 2023 · At present, the anti-corrosion organic coatings for aluminum alloy mainly include alkyd resin coatings, phenolic resin coatings, epoxy resin coatings, polyurethane coatings, polyvinyl alcohol coatings, perchloroethylene resin coatings, furan resin coatings, organo-silane coatings, etc. [32,33,34,35].
26 cze 2024 · Coating aluminum alloy with polyurethane containing graphitic carbon nitride modified-silanized niobium nitride nanoparticles has shown superior anticorrosive performance compared to pure polyurethane coatings. Incorporating this nanocomposite significantly improves adhesion to the metal interface.
The promising anticorrosion applications of self-healing polymer coatings for metallic materials and alloys are highlighted. The advantage of a superhydrophobic surface to prevent the corrosion of the materials is discussed.
This review discusses polymer-based coating performance in corrosion-causing environments to protect metals, focusing more on commercial steels, a readily available construction-relevant material used in extensive applications.
30 gru 2014 · Self-healing polymer coatings are a type of smart material aimed for advanced corrosion protection of metals. This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of two new UV-cure self-healing coatings based on acrylated polycaprolactone polyurethanes.
