Pokémon Platinum - The Wi-Fi Events. New to the main games, Pokémon Platinum, like Diamond & Pearl, includes the functionality of obtaining a gift over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Platinum however, makes full use of these functions and as such there are a variety of items and/or Pokémon being given away over Mystery Gift.

Hey there! i'm revisiting pokemon platinum and soul silver right now and i was wondering if there is any way to get those wi-fi events pokemon, like spiky eared pichu or darkrai. Do you guys know if there is there any way to catch them in original cartridges?
There is also a shiny eevee event, but it was unavailable outside of HGSS. Can anyone confirm if the unknowns are available in Platinum? It took me 3,851 days to beat Skyward Sword
