Point Given (March 27, 1998 – September 11, 2023) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who was the 2001 American Horse of the Year. That year, he won the Preakness Stakes , Belmont Stakes , Haskell Invitational , and Travers Stakes , becoming the first horse ever to win four $1 million races in a row.

Point Given began his 3-year-old campaign with impressive wins in the San Felipe Stakes and the Santa Anita Derby before enduring a troubled trip and finishing fifth in the Kentucky Derby. Point Given was back in top form two weeks later in winning the Preakness.

That trails only Secretariat (2:24 in 1973), Easy Goer (2:26, 1989) and A.P. Indy (2:26, 1992). He is one of 11 horses to achieve the Preakness-Belmont double after failing to win the Kentucky Derby.

The Big Red Train’s win in the Gr.1 Travers made him the first horse since 1967 to win the Preakness, Belmont, and Travers -- just the 11th horse to ever do it.
