Some builds can utilize life gain on hit with spells by linking CWDT with a skill like ball lightning, but you kind of need to build around that a bit for it to be good. You can link some utility to CWDT as well, for things like purifying flame to create consecrated ground if you are building around that.
Cast when Damage Taken gem levels and quality If any CwDT gem has a higher effective level or lower quality than the gem in your body armour, repeat the calculation for both gems. The CwDT gem linked to Forbidden Rite does not take damage from Forbidden Rite (it is on cooldown when the damage happens).
