The Poarch Creek Indian Reservation is a Creek Indian reservation in the state of Alabama. It is the home of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the only federally recognized Native American tribe in the state. The reservation is located eight miles (13 km) northwest of Atmore.

The reservation is located eight miles northwest of Atmore, Alabama in rural Escambia County, about 57 miles east of Mobile. The Poarch Creek Indians have fought hard to preserve their proud heritage while moving forward into the mainstream of today’s modern society.
The Poarch Creek Indians Housing Authority was established in 1984 to provide new housing on the reservation for low-income Tribal households and to meet the needs of elderly Tribal members.
The Poarch Band of Creek Indians (/ pɔːrtʃ / PORCH; [3]) are a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans with reservation lands in lower Alabama. As Mvskoke people, they speak the Muscogee language. They were formerly known as the Creek Nation East of the Mississippi.
