19 sty 2014 · I have two VWs with both carbs you mention. The 30/1 is by far the easiest to tune in my experience. There is only one adjustment screw I would start by checking your valves and timing and make sure that is all good. Then make sure your points (if you are running points) are set right.
13 kwi 2012 · By hooking the tank to the carb with a hose and primeing the carb while it is still off the motor will tell if the float is set correct or if it needs to be set lower and save the trouble of replaceing it on the motor and then haveing to take it back off if it is not right.

5 cze 2015 · The metering rod adjustment gauge is T109-26. While it is possible you have the wrong main jet, or metering rod, or the metering rod is out of adjustment; MUCH MORE LIKELY on a W-1 that there is wear in the linkage connecting the throttle with the metering rod.
12 cze 2019 · I am making my first attempt to rebuid a WMA6-1 and 6-3 from a 1986 Classic Fifty. Not a mechanic but not completely a novice. I have everything cleaned out and am ready to soak it but I don't know how to remove the silver plug on the side or the brass set screw on the upper right.
