The emails that I have received the past 2 or 3 days from support have come from do-not-reply@playstation.sony.com. Which don't help by the way as the content of what comes from the latter email is just another walk around of step by step guides on how to request a password change.

At least for me it worked. USE THE CHAT ROBOT, not the original reset password link. I tried to recover my really old account rare name and it was not sending me an email and I've waited days. And yes, I did check spam folder.
