Just recently my computer had to be reset and updated to windows. Since then I had re downloaded my base game and all my expansion packs, but I just can't play my game. The launcher opens up fine but after I click play I'm stuck with a black screen and endlessly spinning loading sign.

I can open my sims 3 launcher fine, but when I press play my screen goes black and then closes itself. I've had this problem before but it usually fixes itself with a computer restart. I have deleted all of my cc, uninstalled and reinstalled the sims 3 twice, and repaired the files through origin.
29 mar 2023 · On occasion the game minimizes beforehand and when I maximize it the game seems normal but then crashes on the loading screen toward the Main Menu. I've attached my DxDiag and the xcpt file. I also used the dashboard tool to test my CC and deleted corrupted files.
The video chip driver is the default Win 10 driver - you need to download and install a graphics driver from AMD. The driver may fix some issues in the dxdiag. The dxdiag needs to be good for the game to get the data to configure the game.
I haven't managed to get the Sims 3 launcher to open once. I have updated the Direct X folder, tried repairing the game from origin, tried running as administrator and played around with the compatibility settings.
Try running in Windowed mode: Open up the Graphics options again. Uncheck the box beside Enable Fullscreen Mode. Click on the blue check mark at the bottom right to save your changes. Restart The Sims 3, and see if windowed mode works better for you.
9 mar 2022 · First, since you already tried opening the game, check to make sure the launcher is not still running in the background. If you are on Windows, go to the bottom right of your screen and click on the tiny ^ arrow. If the Sims 3 icon is in there, click on it and close the launcher.
