When an elder reaches the end of their life expectancy, the dice are rolled behind the scenes every night at midnight to see if the sim will live for another entire day or if Grimmy will be scheduled to show up a bit later on.
If you use buydebug on in Buy/Build mode in Live game, saving will end up in an infinite loop. The problem is 100% reproducible on my game. However, the problem didn't happen if I use a "hard reset" folder. Neither does it happen if I copy a buydebug object using the eyedropper.
