Fanny Matilda Dagmar Hamlin (born 23 October 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden), known professionally as Faye, is a former Swedish singer, songwriter, and model. She was the lead singer of the Swedish pop group Play in the early 2000s. [1] In 2012, she debuted as a solo artist.
Play were a Swedish pop girl group. Faye Hamlin, Anna Sundstrand, Anaïs Lameche, and Rosie Munter formed Play's original lineup from the band's formation from 2000 until late 2003. After founding member Hamlin left the group, fifth member Janet Leon joined Play to fill Hamlin's position as lead singer. [1]
Faye has played numerous live shows is many locations, such as her homeland of Sweden, the United Kingdom, and in the United States. Most notably, she opened for a sold out show as support for Jesse Ware at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City in January 2013.

In 2009, Play announced their reunion with original members Hamlin and Anaïs Lameche, as well as new member Sanne Karlsson. Sundstrand was not part of the reunion: Lameche claimed she was unable to participate in the reunion as she lived in the United States. [3]
