17 lut 2024 · You’ll need to purchase or obtain a plastic or steel barrel, between 20 and 55 gallons (75-200 liters), including a 48 inch (1.25 meter) length of 2 inch (5 cm) schedule 80 PVC pipe, or a length of 1 1/2 to 2 inch (3.8-5 cm) galvanized steel pipe.
Attach Barrel to frame by sliding the axel through the barrel and the 2 1-1/4 x 1-1/2 inch pvc spacers, tighten the end caps and you’re all done. Enjoy your new compost tumbler. Here are the plans below click on the picture for the full size graphic and to print them out.

We prefer plastic barrels, but the metal ones can be used. 2 hinges with small bolts (not screws) and nuts. Make an outline of the door on the side of the barrel. Usually the door should be large enough to allow use of a shovel to insert waste. Drill a hole in each corner of the door outline.
