21 lis 2023 · For flowering plants, style takes on a whole new meaning. In plants, the style is a structure found within the flower. It is a long, slender stalk that connects the stigma and the ovary.
The style is a narrow extension of the ovary, usually pointing upwards, connecting the ovary to the stigmatic papillae. It may be absent in some plants; in this case, it is referred to as a sessile stigma.
Flowers are composed of many distinct components: sepals, petals, stamens, and carpels. These components are arranged in whorls and attach to an area called the receptacle, which is at the end of the stem that leads to the flower. This stem is called the peduncle.
