15 kwi 2022 · There 24 types of Z-Crystals and some are exclusive to certain Pokémon. They can be obtained as Beast Chest loot in Ultra Space, as drops from rare Boss Pokémon or as drops from specific Pokémon. Z-Crystals can also be used to change the type of Arceus.

Z-Crystals are a special kind of held item that can be held by a Pokemon to upgrade moves into Z-moves. Some Z-Crystals will only take effect if held by a specific Pokemon, being rejected by any other species.
Fix moves requiring a Z-Crystal of a type different than the type of a move. Removed the ability to turn Struggle into a Z-Move. Fixed erratic battle camera movement by preventing the camera from updating its position if it has been set to be removed. Fixed Pokémon not transforming via Illusion, Transform, or Imposter.

how to get my z crystal working. I gave my gengar a darkinium Z but it keeps telling me that the z type attack "can't be used in this battle". He has the attack sucker punch. I've tried it on some other pokemon that also have dark attacks but it doesn't work on them either. Any ideas? Archived post.
Z-Crystals can be obtained from: Chest loot in Ultra space, rare Boss Pokémon, drops from specific Pokémon. In case of Eevium Z, There's a 10% chance of an Eevee dropping it after battle. Easy way to find an Eevee: Birch forest during daytime, Pokémon with the Sweet Scent ability (Meganium, for example).
