20 gru 2023 · I have this same problem trying to connect my new Pixel 8 pro phone to a Windows 11 PC via USB cable for file transfer. For context: I can connect as usual between my Pixel 8 and a Windows 10 laptop. I can also connect between an old Huawei Mate 20 pro and both the Windows 10 and 11 PCs.
11 kwi 2023 · The Pixel CAN connect to an older laptop running Windows 10, appearing both in the Windows Device Manager (which says my drivers are up to date) and in File Explorer (where I can access the internal memory).

May be the cable is wrongly detected as USB 3 cable and the phone tries only to use the USB 3 wires which fails.
