11 kwi 2023 · The mystery: I cannot establish a USB connection between my Pixel 7 Pro (Android 13) and PC (Windows 11). When I try, the PC makes that characteristic "connected device" sound, but Windows Explorer doesn't discover the Pixel, nothing shows up anywhere in the Windows Device Manager, and the ADB command. .\fastboot device.
This worked for my Pixel 7 Pro which did not show up in File Explorer but appeared as Unspecified in Devices & Printers: on Pixel, Change to Developer Mode (tap 7 times at the Firmware version) Change to USB Debugging ON. Set default USB mode : File Transfer. on PC, open Printers & Device. click on Pixel 7 Pro (Unspecified)
10 lip 2022 · In my new tablet Lenovo with Android 11 and the same PC with Windows 7, I am able to perform only first 2 steps – then I see only an empty window, no folders in it (i.e., no “Internal shared storage” or other directory / file in it).

Whenever I try to plug my Pixel 7 via USB to my Windows 10 laptop, it will struggle with the File Transfer setting. By default, I have it to 'Charging'. But when I try to switch to 'File Transfer' it will more often than not switch straight back to charging.
When I open the "cast screen to device" on my pixel my computer just isn't showing up on the list of devices. My computer shows up on the list if I install a 3rd party app on the computer like Reflector 4, but not when I use the microsoft connect app. Anyone have a solution?
