There will never be updates again. They removed ads, you can't even spend money in the game anymore. The final update took over 4 years and was for 64bit, wide-screen support and added a few more things.

You can but only through jailbreak, then mod it using iosgods, they use Cydia to mod every game. Personally pcr mods got boring, you have everything and there's no purpose. I only use theme mods now like Pixel Underground Racer and it changes textures and sounds (Check my camaro vid)
