The Valley Park Elevator is the last grain elevator in St. Louis County. It consists of two frame buildings connected by a one-story scale pit shelter. A hardware store or “working house” is separate from the elevator itself, called the “bin.”
Next to the Interpretive Center is the Lower Park Building, which features an open design that’s perfect for up to 25 people. A short walk past the Interpretive Center will bring you to the award-winning Hobbs Pavilion with picnic table seating for groups of up to 48.
14 wrz 2021 · At Westwood Hills Nature Center, a 160-acre preserve with 3 miles of trails, you can grab a table at the picnic shelter or put down a blanket closer to the lake. The center’s marsh, woods and restored prairie provide habitat for wildlife — you may catch a glimpse of deer, turtles, fox, mink and owls as you eat.
To reserve a park building or picnic shelter, complete your registration online. To reserve the amphitheater, complete the outdoor facility rental application. Note: Rental applications are accepted seven days or more prior to the event. All park buildings are fully enclosed and have indoor restrooms, tables and chairs, and free Wi-Fi.

Picnic Shelters. The park is also the perfect spot for a picnic lunch. There are outdoor grills, picnic tables and two picnic shelters. The Main Shelter holds up to 100 people, while the East Shelter can hold 35. Both shelters may be reserved in advance. For events year-round, the Wolfe Park Building can accommodate up to 30 guests.
The park includes a shelter, playground, solar powered storage building, soccer fields, cross-country ski trail, baseball field, a 6.3 acre pond, and woods. Until 2002 it was referred to as Oak Park Village.
