SAME_CDI is a Single Arcade/Machine Emulator for libretro, forked from MAME libretro, which is a fork of MAME (it's the SAME, get it?), and compiles only the Philips CD-I driver, and then sorts out the claptrap of loading the CD file for emulating. 3 maj 2018 · I can run CD-i games fine if i load them directly in RetroArch. But if i use Rocketlauncher/Hyperspin and try to load my RetroArch setup from there, i get the black MAME loading screen and then it freezes there. I have to close the program from the task manager after that.
cdi2015 libretro core is based on mame2015 and aim to make playing Philips CD-i games easier, It's lightweight and faster than newest mame core and easy to use, and tested with x86/x86_64 and retropie/batocera for RPI 4B/CM4.
This emulator looks really promising as the author has had help from cd-i fan the creator of the only cdi emulator to support dvc games. The source can be compiled on a raspberry pi too. Anyone got same_cdi core working on retropie?
