Bezlotoxumab is a monoclonal antibody that binds to C difficile toxin B and is FDA approved as an adjunctive therapy for preventing CDI (in addition to providing standard of care with antibiotics) in adults at high risk for recurrence. It is not approved for use as a stand-alone therapy.
