3 wrz 2018 · Here's an odd one: for no apparent reason, as of this morning, the sound of my warning beeps/chimes for park sensor and door open have changed - it's gone sort of quieter, more high pitched and tinny. Hard to explain but it's very noticeable. Anyone else had this?
I just took delivery of my 2012 135i coupe and noticed that the various interior chimes, warnings, and such, including the sound of the turn signal, are pretty loud. Is there any way to adjust the sound level of these things?
Any one of those can be super annoying if too loud, or appropriate if at a somewhat "normal" level. I spent the last 10 years with the Acura chime and while it sounds much like a wake up signal from a hotel nightstand radio, it played at a level that is low enough as to not be annoying.

Car chimes have been common on various cars since the 1970s. On most occasions, some of them can be found tolerable, while others can be absolutely dreadful to hear and it makes us want to shut the door ASAP.
I think Volvo (modern) has the best chime in the business. It sounds elegant, simple, but also has a giddy tone to it. It doesn't sound like it's yelling at you or anything like that, but rather "hi, i'm on:)", or "hi, we're low on fuel :)". Am I weird? I'll go home.
