It will apply some small patches to the vanilla MCP source code, giving you and it access to some of the data and functions you need to build a successful mod. Note also that the patches are built against "un-renamed" MCP source code (aka SRG Names) - this means that you will not be able to read them directly against normal code.

This mod adds the Depth Meter, a tool that lets you see your elevation in terms of distance from sea level. This idea was created for a brainstorming contest in the Minecraft Abnormals Brainstorming Discord Server.
The Depth Meter is useful for finding biomes that are generated at specific elevation ranges, such as Floating Islands, the Underground Jungle, and the Underworld. It also helps with locating the first three tiers of Hardmode ores .
