24 maj 2020 · Perioperative fluid management. The aim of perioperative fluid therapy, in parallel with the maintenance of the effective circulating blood volume, is to avoid both fluid overload and under-hydration, while maintaining patients’ fluid balance as close as possible to zero.
16 kwi 2016 · The goal of perioperative intravenous fluid therapy is to maintain or restore circulation with an adequate fluid and electrolyte balance, thereby creating the preconditions for a favorable outcome for the patient.
3 lis 2020 · we should divide fluid therapy into two components: replacement of fluid losses from the body via insensible perspiration (~500mL/24h), bowel motions (~200mL/24h) and urinary output (500-2000 mL/24h) and. replacement of plasma losses from the circulation due to fluid shifting or acute bleeding.
This review aims to explain the underlying physiology and describe the evidence base and the changes that have been seen in the approach to perioperative fluid therapy. Keywords: Cardiac output, fluid, perioperative, physiology. Go to: Worldwide, there are over 312 million surgical procedures performed annually. [1]
Perioperative fluid management impacts outcomes and plays a pivotal role in enhanced recovery pathways (ERPs). There have been major advances in understanding the effects of fluid therapy and administration during the perioperative period.
10 kwi 2015 · Patients should receive fluid therapy guided by predefined physiologic targets. Specifically, fluids should be administered when patients require augmentation of their perfusion and are also volume responsive. This paper provides a general approach to fluid therapy and practical recommendations.
