1 gru 2021 · Images are reconstructed from the cardiac computed tomographic datasets obtained from a 35-year-old woman with pericardial effusion, which makes it easier to discern the pericardium corresponding to the outer margin of the pericardial effusion.
3 lis 2023 · The pericardium is the membrane that encloses the heart and the roots of the major heart vessels, consisting of an outer fibrous layer (fibrous pericardium) and an inner double serous membrane layer (serous pericardium).
3 lis 2023 · The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood around the body by circulating it through the circulatory/vascular system. It is found in the middle mediastinum, wrapped in a two-layered serous sac called the pericardium. The heart is shaped as a quadrangular pyramid, and orientated as if the pyramid has fallen onto one of its sides so that its ...
15 gru 2023 · The pericardium is a fluid-filled sac that encases the muscular body of the heart and the roots of the great vessels (including the aorta, pulmonary trunk, pulmonary veins, and the inferior and superior vena cavae).
2 paź 2024 · Images are labelled, providing an invaluable medical and anatomical tool. The test mode allows instant evaluation of user progress. Atlas of human anatomy: Left ventricle, Left atrium, Anterior papillary muscle Pericardium : Pericardial cavity, Transverse pericardial sinus, Oblique pericardial sinus
2 lis 2023 · The pericardial cavity is a potential space between the opposing layers of the serous pericardium's parietal and visceral layer. This cavity has a fluid layer, that allows the heart to pulsate and move without friction. The fluid also serves to diminish surface tension and provide lubrication.
The outermost layer is the epicardium (or visceral pericardium). The epicardium covers the heart, wraps around the roots of the great blood vessels, and adheres the heart wall to a protective sac. The middle layer is the myocardium. This strong muscle tissue powers the heart’s pumping action.
