One of the most telltale signs of a fake Case knife is sloppy or low-quality tang stamping. It is also essential to make sure the tang stamp is the right design for the knife model and in the correct location. Inferior materials and signs of poor craftsmanship can also indicate a fake Case knife.
12 mar 2024 · I have had a few Case knives over the years. I received a Navy blue bone mini trapper for Christmas. Last month the RED SHIELD fell off! Has anyone noticed any recent quality issues with Case or is this an abberation? I posted a note on the forum on the Case site; have not heard back yet.
27 lut 2014 · Issues that are common with Case knives: They don’t spend time trying to get water-tight backsprings, thus don’t let small gaps surprise you. Blade centering or proud / sunk backsprings do not keep them up at night.
They aren’t bad knives, but they are very overpriced knives for what they offer regarding materials, fit and finish.

2 maj 2023 · Disappointment. In my pocket at the moment, a Case Stockman, 6318, that I am not proud to carry, I'm not sure how, or why, this knife made it through QC. The bolsters have sharp edges - not smooth and rounded to the point that they appear squared off.. The handle as well does not have the typical smooth, finished feel.
1 lut 2011 · It is my opinion - certainly not unique - that Case knives are 'good' knives - with the customer as the final QC inspector. Especially great if you don't 'need' a knife - but 'want' a special variant - or commemorative - knife for your collection.
