10 paź 2024 · You can try to change the file association to another PDF viewer, which might resolve the icon problem. Here's how: Open Settings > Apps > Default apps, and locate .pdf. Select a new app, and that should update both the viewer and the icon.
12 sty 2022 · Right click on any PDF icon and select "Open with" then select "Choose another app." Select Acrobat and check the box "always use this app to open .pdf files." Also, through settings, "Choose default apps by file type," and scroll down until you find .pdf and make sure Acrobat is set as the default.
17 lip 2017 · I use Acrobat Pro DC on a daily basis. Today, all the pdf icons next to my pdf documents went blank. This happened to the desktop and taskbar icons too, but I've worked out how to fix those. Cannot work out how to get the other icons back though.

16 lut 2010 · I updated my Adobe Acrobate Reader to the 9.2.0 version a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the icons next to PDF files have disappeared and are now just generic file icons.
4 paź 2023 · PDF thumbnails disappeared, don’t show, gone, no longer showing – If PDF thumbnails are missing, the issue is most likely Adobe Reader. To fix the issue, be sure to check its settings and update it to the latest version.
5 gru 2019 · If I create a new subfolder and copy a PDF that shows with a generic icon into the subfolder, the file shows the thumbnail. But when I navigate away and then back to the folder, the file no longer shows the thumbnail, only the generic icon.
