I used to set Windows updates to lower bandwidth to not bother me while gaming. But since recently Xbox Game Pass for PC app thingy uses the Windows update speed limiter for itself too. I now set bandwidth to max and poof Xbox app downloaded a game at 90MB/s.

Tech Support WEEKENDS. I will describe how I fixed the slow download speed from Xbox app. Open CMD as administrator. Type/paste netsh interface tcp show global. Check the value for "Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level". In my case it was disabled.
Here are my results: turn off "allow downloads from other PCs. xbox app downlaod speed went from 1mbps to 10mbls. use microsoft store to download the same game, average of 50mbps. It definitely help to turn the option OFF, but the download speed of the two app is incomparable! Reply reply.
5 sty 2022 · I recently got Game Pass and have been trying to install some games. The download speeds are absolutely horrendous on this app. It fluctuates between 300-900 KB/s on a 400+ Mb/s connection. Every other app or download source has much more reliable download speeds (Steam gets 35 MB/s, for example).
