I want to upgrade my aging PC and will go with DDR5 RAM. That said, somebody told me that currently with DDR5 ram, if you install 128 GB, the speed of this new DDR5 ram speed will be reduced because of a limitation on a controller in the Intel i9 13900K chip.

So unless you‘re a power user running intensive creative apps or data science workloads, 64GB of RAM is almost certainly overkill. Stick with 16-32GB for great general performance.
