Some fraudsters try to trick you into thinking you've received a payment for an order. They want what you're selling for free. Before you ship anything, log in to PayPal and check that you actually received a payment. We'll never ask you to share a tracking number by email. If you received a payment, you’ll always see it in your PayPal activity.
It's a scam. The scammer creates a payment request towards your account, and in the payment requester's name field they insert the message you see (not a requester name). After submitting it, the scammer immediately cancels the transaction.
Before sending anything, login to PayPal and check that you received a payment. To report a suspicious email or website, forward it to phishing@paypal.com and we’ll investigate it for you. After you send us the email, delete it from your inbox.

9 maj 2023 · If you got an email that seems to be from MetaMask or PayPal, stop. They’re phishing scams. The MetaMask fake says your cryptocurrency wallet is blocked. And, if you don’t act fast, click a link, and update your wallet, they say your crypto will be lost.
10 wrz 2024 · Set up alerts for suspicious activities: Alerts can notify users of potential fraud immediately. If mobile wallet fraud occurs, contact the digital wallet provider and the financial institutions linked to the compromised accounts to report the fraud and take necessary actions.
