11 wrz 2024 · Controversies exist about fundamental issues related to digoxin toxicity, including its definition and identification, approaches to diagnosis and management, use of adjunctive laboratory data to support or oppose diagnosis, and the threshold for antidotal treatment with digoxin immune Fab.
30 sie 2015 · Results 52 studies were systematically reviewed, comprising 621 845 patients. Digoxin users were 2.4 years older than control (weighted difference 95% confidence interval 1.3 to 3.6), with lower ejection fraction (33% v 42%), more diabetes, and greater use of diuretics and anti-arrhythmic drugs.
1 gru 2023 · The recommendations highlight the importance of early recognition of signs of potentially life-threatening toxicity that requires immediate treatment with digoxin-specific antibodies. The consensus identifies a straightforward approach to dosing immune antibody fragments according to the presence or absence of signs of life-threatening toxicity.
The search strategy identified 52 studies for systematic review, including 621 845 patients allocated to digoxin treatment or control, representing 2 248 775 patient years of follow-up (fig 1). Overall, 144 593 patients were taking digoxin (23.3%) compared with 476 984 in the control arms (76.7%).
30 sie 2024 · The DECISION trial is a randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled event-driven outcome trial which will investigate the efficacy and safety of low-dose digoxin in patients with chronic HF and LVEF <50%.
30 maj 2006 · Fourteen patients had to be treated with digoxin to prevent 1 such event. Accordingly, the addition of digoxin to ACE inhibitor therapy for symptomatic heart failure, rather than the addition of an ARB, may be associated with a greater benefit and lower risk of side effects. 5,40
1 wrz 2013 · Patients treated with digoxin were less likely to be treated at baseline with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, loop diuretics, β-blockers, dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers, antiplatelet medications, and diabetes medications but were more likely to be treated with thiazide diuretics and nondihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.
