The Park Ridge Fire Department, an ISO Class 2 agency, provides all-hazard services which include: Fire Suppression and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), as well as four (4) specialized response teams: the Dive Rescue Team, Fire/Arson Investigations Team, Hazardous Materials Response Team, and the Technical Rescue Team.

COVID health restrictions over the 2020 summer shut down most public fundraisers and limited access to the Park Ridge History Center.

Fire Suppression. The Park Ridge Fire Department takes great pride in our highly trained and professional staff. The department is equipped and trained to handle any type of emergency situation, ranging from an investigation of a strange odor to a large-scale mass casualty disaster.
The Park Ridge Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1898 to provide fire protection to the Borough of Park Ridge. Today the Department still provides that very same service, however, we have evolved with the times responding not only to fires but to vehicle extrications, elevator rescues, and all other types of emergencies within the Borough.
The Park Ridge Fire Department was established in 1893 with volunteer firefighters. Today, the 51 full-time members of the Department provide fire suppression, emergency medical and other emergency services to approximately 37,800 residents within its jurisdiction.
