Has anyone experienced what it’s like to get a paragard postpartum while breastfeeding? Im 2 and a half months postpartum and I just had mine inserted 3 days ago. Insertion wasn’t painful at all and I’ve been bleeding since with very very light cramping here and there.
I knew I wanted an IUD, and my midwife suggested Paragard. In her practice (CNM who practices at a hospital), she sees fewer side effects with Paragard than with the hormonal ones, specifically when it comes to postpartum depression.

When I got this IUD, I couldn't find many negative reviews that seemed credible; most people were just complaining about the pain and bleeding during the first 3 months. I hope this can provide a little more clarity to those looking for a more detailed experience.
