29 maj 2020 · Production of the Panzer IV Ausf.B and C was carried out by Krupp-Grusonwerk from Magdeburg-Buckau. The Ausf.B was built in small numbers, with a total of 42 vehicles (chassis number 80201-80300) which were constructed in the period from May to October 1938.

The engine side air intakes were redesigned and simplified and consisted of a single horizontal bar. The Panzer IV Ausf.D rear engine side air intakes were redesigned and simplified for production.
