  1. Start Paladin 6 for the aura, then Warlock (Blade, Fiend). Depending on the Paladin subclass, you might wish to go Paladin 7, based on the value of the feature you gain at 7. Choose Defensive style to stay open for good gear, and Agonizing Blast & Repelling Blast.
