3 gru 2022 · I bought several rod building kits years ago from the Hook and Hackle rod building supply company and have a few single hand rod kits up for sale. Each kit comes with everything one needs to build a fly rod other than a simple hand rod wrapping tool (google "PACIFIC BAY RODSMITH HAND ROD WRAPPER ") which sell for $50.
The entry level, pac Bay style provide power for wrapping and occasional light turning. Most upgrade to the better chuck, which puts it around the $400 mark. If you are in a "one rod at a time" mode, it also provides a drying motor by just changing the belt position.
The Pac Bay are excellent blanks for the price and are plum colored. They are available for 8'6" in a fast action medium power through a 10'6" Moderate fast, medium power in the steelhead blanks.
