7 lut 2015 · I have a 2002 qx4 with a consistent P1140 code. The code pops up as soon as the engine is on, and no sooner do I clear it then it comes right back up again. I have extensive wiring tech background and have even pulled the engine harness and gone through it extensively.
24 wrz 2010 · I took it to a shop, and the error code was P1140. After consulting the factory manual, it appears that the "Intake valve timing control position sensor" or "Intake valve timing control position solenoid" needs to be replaced.
The code is for the intake valve timing control position sensor which is very common to fail located on the side on the front of the cylinder head and has a lighter Green connector with three wires. The Red wire is the signal wire.
