The little dot on your profile indicates your status in Outlook for Mac. It is also called Presence. This status is based from your schedule on the Calendar and it syncs with your chat app like Skype for Business or Teams.

After many searches I found this dialog box of Outlook> Preferences > General which is the most common search result for trying to figure out how to get the panel of folders and accounts to show up in Outlook for Mac. It ain’t it.
1 kwi 2020 · By default, the number of read and unread messages, information about the mail server connection, reading pane toggles, and zoom information all appear in the status bar. To customize the status bar, right-click it to open the "Customize Status Bar" menu.
6 lis 2019 · I'm using Outlook for Mac version 16.32 on MacOS 10.15 with the "New Outlook" toggled ON in the upper right corner. I just realized that the gray status bar at the bottom has disappeared and I don't know where to find it.
18 lut 2019 · If you have recently switched to Teams-Only mode and there is no presence circle at all, then you may need to reconfigure your Teams client to share presence data. Below is an example of what that will look like. Note: Presence data will also be missing if your Microsoft Teams client is not running.
