When learning new skills in osu!, it can often be hard to know what type of maps you should be playing in order to optimally train those new skills. look at your favorite maps and think about what it is that makes them your favorite and try to incorporate that into your mapping. talk to your favorite mappers if you can, most of them have really good advice. the biggest pitfall new mappers have is trying to rank anything instead of mapping more.
