I'm trying to find the plugin that has the prayer displayed as a blue bar but in the format of your hp bar. It's directly under your hp bar when it is active
If you do regular resizable mode with the regular panel layout (in osrs settings not rl settings), it'll fill in the pillars with hp/pray info. Status bars should go to the sides in resizable mode when you change an option called Side Panels, i believe it's under display > advanced in the normal OSRS options menu.

If you get a single level to 78, your prayer potions will give you an addition point per dose. So its up to you really. Check the wiki on prayer/super restores to see the breakpoint. Technically because of it the last "impactful" prayer level is 97.
Completing The Restless Ghost, Priest in Peril, Recruitment Drive and Holy Grail will grant a total of 14,531 Prayer experience, which will get the player from level 1 to 30. Spirits of the Elid has more requirements, but gives another 8,000 Prayer experience.
As a low-level ironman, a great option to level up prayer is by completing quests. I haven't covered questing yet since prayer is so fast on a main account, but as an Ironman, it is worth it.
