Nightmare Zone Point Formula. Each boss has a "base point" value which is calculated with. base_points = int (combat_level^2 / 1000). I found that this formula applies to all bosses except Essyllt, which for whatever reason has double the expected number of base points.

The restricted lists can be around 1-1.5m on avg compared to your 1.2-2m on avg. The noteworthy part is that they're much more relaxed. Also, while a non restricted list has a much higher ceiling, the average is definitely close enough that if I ever need points I'll be using the restricted list for the leisure.
The NMZ reward shop allows you to spend your points on potions in the ‘benefits’ tab. The most important type of potion from this shop is the ‘ Absorption potion ‘ which gives you 50 hitpoints per sip or 200 hitpoints per potion.
