The easiest way to fight Nex is to camp Ranged with the best crossbow you can get your hands on, as the gear is a lot cheaper but the DPS is less than a hybrid setup that utilises the Osumuten's Fang and blood fury.
drop the slayer helm, swap the ring for an archers ring and either go bofa + full crystal armour or arma c bow with dragon ruby bolts(e). Take antidote++ for nex smoke phase and drop the blowpipe as its dps is pretty garbage at nex. Take either a dragonfire ward or a twisted buckler as magic defence is very important.
This setup would benefit from a tbow to reduce overkill dps potential on nex under 350 hp and to give longer range in hitting umbra.
Range only is way more chill and allows for more kills/trip in teams all the way down to a size of 7. However, the best gp/hr and loot chance/hr is always the smallest team size you can consistently get kills in. I would recommend trio hybrid with fang as main dps, tbow or zcb for minions and shadow phase.
