Other than having good gear/stats and doing the prequest of obtaining the frozen key there are other ways that you can make your life easier fighting nex before release!
I'd suggest watching/ reading a couple guides, doing a couple of mass kills to learn the rotations ( mass isn't anything like small teams but It'll give you a good understand of what to look for etc ) then try small teams.
