An adamant axe is a one-handed axe requiring 30 Attack to wield and 31 Woodcutting to use to cut trees. Making one requires 1 adamant bar and 71 Smithing, yielding 62.5 Smithing experience. As with all axes, it can be used to cut trees even when in the player's inventory.

A steel axe from Bob's Brilliant Axes (steel axe could also be obtained as a 1/32 drop from lesser demons) is your best axe before smithing a mithril axe, adamant axe or rune axe at 51, 71, and 86 Smithing respectively. Alternatively you can get a black axe from beginner clue scrolls.
Adamant equipment is stronger than mithril equipment, but weaker than rune equipment. Adamant items are green-coloured. Adamant armour requires 30 Defence to wield, weapons generally require 30 Attack.
F2P UIM Smithing Guide - Wholistic Chill Version Firstly, this isn't a guide to max your UIM smithing exp/h . As far as I can tell, telegrabbing nature runes in the wilderness, then superheating iron with the Bryophyta Staff in the Dwarven Mine is the best method for exp/h.
