The Winchester Model 1887 and Winchester Model 1901 are lever-action shotguns designed by American gun designer John Browning and produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The shotgun became well-known due to its use in the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
24 cze 2013 · So is there a recommmended 12g smokeless shotgun shell that is light enough to use in an original 1887 Winchester 12g shotgun? I've shot plenty of Black Powder through it, but not sure what factoy ammo would be best.
The Model 1887 shotgun is a lever-action rolling block design, chambered in 12-gauge 2 ⅝” and 10-ga 2 ⅞” black powder shells only. All Model 1887 shotguns have an elegant “WRA Co.” monogram engraved on the left side of the receiver frame, and were case color hardened.
17 wrz 2017 · Good afternoon, I have a Winchester Model 1887, all original, excellent condition 12 gauge lever action rifle I inherited from my grandfather years back. Mechanically sound. My question is can I fire light loads through without fear of damaging it or am I playing with fire.
22 paź 2024 · The 1887 was a popular weapon. For its era, it offered a lot of quickly dispersed five rounds of 12 gauge. Pump or lever? That’s the real question. Six years later, Winchester saw the light and allowed Browning to produce a slide action or what we call a pump action shotgun these days.
