14 lis 2023 · Hi, I have an eMac 1.25ghz that I just got an AirPort Card (802.11b) for. I am not entirely sure if the AirPort card I got is compatible with it. Is the original AirPort Card (e.g. the one you would find on an iBook G3) compatible with an eMac over 1ghz?
If you have an original 800MHz 15" or 17" it has an 802.11b card. You would plug the WAN port on the Airport Base Station into a LAN port on your router. You need one of the ones that look like a snow cone.

5 maj 2023 · Try the Airport update (if not already installed) https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1219?locale=en_GB. I've had no end of issues with these older cards - I gave up and used a separate router with no security on it all (for occasional use.)
